USC Warriors Eyeing 6'4" Kid from Mindanao

After the departure of key big men Enrico John Llanto(6'2", center/forward) and John Emel Rowe(6'4", forward), the USC Warriors begin their search for replacements. Fil-Briton John Macul Burtonwood(6'5", center) did not impress the USC coaching staff, talks about signing Adamson University juniors standout Russell Dix died down, ACSAT senior Alfred Ferraren(6'3", forward) initially declined and his former teammate and Hawai'i-based Rene Jun Saycon(6'3", forward) has verbally committed to the UV Green Lancers. The USC Warriors turned their attention to DBTC juniors standout Danilo Belangel(6'4", center/forward).

USC have yet to hear again from Belangel but USC coaches are ready to move on as a fresh prospect emerges courtesy of an alumni supporter. Rommel Campaner, a 16 year-old fresh high school graduate from Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte has expressed keen interest in joining the USC Warriors camp. The 6'4" forward is due to arrive on the 2nd week of May along with his father who is a police officer. Although his age may suggest that he could be a little raw, USC hopes he can be the cornerstone of the rebuilding effort, filling in the shoes of the bull-strong Llanto who have used up his college eligibility or the multi-faceted Fil-Aussie Rowe who has transferred to San Beda College in the NCAA.
